About Spring Hill Peony Farm
Spring Hill Peony Farm is a peony farm at Spring Hill in the Macedon Ranges, about an hour north west of Melbourne. Visitors park at The Little Church in Spring Hill and walk about two kilometres along tree lined laneways, past horses and cows, to reach the peony paddock.
The farm opens for a short pick your own window each year, with the 2026 dates set at approximately 5 November to 5 December, a roughly ten day period within that range confirmed once the peonies start to bloom. Every visitor needs a pre purchased ticket; there is no walk up entry. A picking ticket includes 15 stems and costs $50 per person on weekdays or $65 on weekends; a view only ticket without picking is $14 on weekdays or $20 on weekends, and tickets for visitors 16 and under are $5, with children aged one and under free.
Visitors are advised to bring gumboots or sturdy shoes, since the farm track can be muddy, along with a raincoat, hat, and their own secateurs and bucket for cutting. A picnic rug and grazing platter are welcome, with shade available to sit near the Little Church.
