About Pick Your Own Australia

This is an independent directory of Australian farms and orchards where visitors pick their own fruit, vegetables and flowers. We currently list 292 of them, growing 31 different crops across 47 areas.

What we list, and what we do not

We list places where you do the picking. A farm gate shop, a roadside stall or a stand selling fruit that someone else picked is not pick-your-own, and it does not get a listing here however good the fruit is. Where a farm does both, we say which crops you can pick and which are sold ready-picked.

We also do not list farm stays, animal encounters or tractor tours unless the farm genuinely lets visitors pick something. A directory that pads its numbers with farm experiences stops being useful the moment you actually want to pick strawberries.

Where the information comes from

Season dates, prices, opening hours and contact details are taken from the farm's own website or its own Facebook page wherever we can find them. Where we could only find something on a directory or a tourism listing, we treat it as a lead and go looking for the farm's own source. If we cannot confirm a detail, we leave it out rather than guess: an empty field is honest, an invented one is not.

Every listing shows when we last checked it. Some farms are marked as not recently confirmed, which means their own website or Facebook page has gone quiet and we could not verify that they are still running. We would rather tell you that than pretend.

Picking depends on the weather. A crop can ripen early, run out, or be rained off, and no directory can be up to the minute about that. Ring the farm or check its own page before you drive out.

Growers

We do not charge farms to be listed, we take no bookings and we sell nothing. If a listing has the wrong dates, price or phone number, or you would like to be added or removed, tell us at info@pickyourownaustralia.com or use the add your farm page, and we will fix it.

Who runs this site

PickYourOwnAustralia.com is run by Martin Čtvrtníček, a sole trader registered in the Czech Republic (business ID 88067882), at Opatovice 117, 682 01 Vyškov, Czech Republic. We run similar directories for other countries. The site is not owned or operated by any farm, tourism body or growers' association, and no farm pays for its position.
