About Ruefleur Chestnuts
Ruefleur Chestnuts is a mature chestnut orchard of around 100 trees in the Dandenong Ranges near Monbulk and Olinda, offering farm gate sales and pick your own chestnuts alongside handmade preserves, honey, chestnut flour and chestnut cake mixes.
Harvest runs from the end of March through April, depending on the season and remaining stock. The orchard is open to the public on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm during that window, strictly by prior phone booking, as there is no entry without a booking due to limited parking. Visitors who are u-picking are asked to bring their own bags or containers, thick rubber gloves, and sturdy shoes or rubber boots rather than sandals. The site is not suitable for those using mobility aids because of the terrain, and pets are not permitted. Bookings and confirmations are taken only by phone, and packaged product orders can be requested by email.
