About Silvan Cherry and Berry Farm
Silvan Cherry and Berry Farm is a u-pick only orchard at 55A Edmund Road, Silvan, in the Dandenong Ranges, growing fruit since 1988. The farm grows around 20 different cherry varieties, each ripening with its own size, colour and flavour, and is open most weekends from November to January for cherry picking. Raspberries are also available to pick during the same period, while blueberries are sold pre-packed rather than picked, and the farm sells fresh lemons and, at times, cherry and berry plants for visitors who are not there to pick.
As a weekends-only operation, opening hours vary through the season and depend on how the fruit is ripening, so it is worth calling the farm or checking its Facebook page before making the trip out from Melbourne. The farm gate sells extra produce for visitors who would rather buy than pick, alongside honey and jam made on site.
