About Tony's Summer Fruits
Tony's Summer Fruits is a family run pick your own stone fruit orchard at 721 Canning Road, Carmel, in the Perth Hills. The orchard opens to visitors from December through to April, moving through apples, peaches, nectarines, plums, pears and figs as each variety ripens across the season.
Entry costs $2 per person and picked fruit is charged by the kilogram at $6/kg. The farm posts updates on Facebook and Instagram naming which varieties are currently ready to pick, including named nectarine and peach varieties, so checking there before the drive out is worthwhile since ripening depends on the weather. Visitors walk the rows and carry their own container for the fruit. Because the season runs across summer and into autumn, Tony's is one of the longer running pick your own stops in the Perth Hills, with something different in season for much of that stretch rather than a single short window like the district's cherry farms.
