About The Dahlia Patch

The Dahlia Patch is a flower farm at 154 Old South Road, Alpine, in the Southern Highlands, growing more than 500 dahlias in a range of colours and varieties. Picking is run as a timed, pre-booked experience called Coffee and Dahlia Harvesting, held on selected Saturday mornings through the dahlia season from December to April. Visitors stroll the rows, harvest their own blooms and take them home in a mason jar or a bucket, with a coffee or tea included. Bookings are essential and are made through the farm's website; there is no casual walk-in picking. On arrival, visitors use the car park to the left of the driveway and walk the short path to the farm. The farm also runs dahlia growing workshops and wellness sessions, and sells dahlia tubers for visitors who want to grow their own at home. As sessions are limited and announced in advance, visitors should book online rather than turning up unannounced.
