About Cedar Creek Orchard
Cedar Creek Orchard is a fourth generation family orchard at 269 Mulhollands Road, Thirlmere, run by the Silm family since the 1940s and now grown to around 23,000 trees. It grows peaches, nectarines, apples and persimmons, and opens specific pick your own days through the year for each crop as it ripens: peaches and nectarines from November to January, and Pink Lady and Fuji apples and persimmons in autumn, with apples around $4.50 per kilogram.
Pick your own is by booking only, taken through the farm's online booking system, and entry is around $6 per person, which includes a tractor ride out to the orchard rows before visitors are sent off to pick. The farm has no fruit in season for stretches of the year, including winter, and pauses pick your own completely at those times, so it is worth checking the website before planning a visit. When pick your own is not running, the farm shed still sells produce Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm and Saturday 9am to 12:30pm, closed Sundays and public holidays.
