About The Berry Dairy

The Berry Dairy is a family owned pick your own strawberry farm and cafe on a working dairy property just outside Maffra in Gippsland, home to around 550 dairy cows alongside more than 20,000 spray free strawberry plants. Varieties are mostly Albion and Cabrillo, with smaller patches of Monterey and Petaluma, sourced from Toolangi Strawberry Growers. A Farm Pass bought on arrival covers strawberry picking and a petting zoo, and includes a strawberry credit towards a punnet, while the cafe, shop, enclosed playground and a new dog park are free to enter. The licensed cafe draws over 90 percent of its menu from local Gippsland growers and producers, and the farm takes a zero waste approach to its own strawberries, turning any that are not sold fresh into jam, liqueur, beer or ice cream. The farm also runs Dairy Farm Tractor Tours. The Berry Dairy closes over winter and is reopening for the new season on 24 September 2026, so it is worth checking the website before visiting outside those months.
