About Shaylee Strawberries
Shaylee Strawberries is a strawberry farm and cafe at 255 Marks Lane, Atherton, on the Atherton Tablelands between Atherton and Yungaburra. Besides picking, the farm has a cafe and shop selling jams, ice cream and other produce.
The pick your own season runs from August to October, weather permitting, taking advantage of Far North Queensland's tropical growing calendar. The patch is not open every day within that window and is suspended in wet conditions, so visitors should call ahead or check Facebook and Instagram before travelling out. No booking is needed and there is no entry fee, visitors pay only for the fruit they pick. Pickers are asked to wear closed-in footwear, stay within the taped rows, pick only ripe berries, supervise children, and not eat fruit while still in the paddock.
The cafe is open Wednesday to Sunday, 8am to 4pm with the kitchen closing at 3pm, and is closed Mondays, Tuesdays and public holidays. There is ample on-site parking for visitors.
