Harvest Homestead Farm & Flowers is a 3 acre micro flower farm and farm stay bed and breakfast at 229 Glenfern Road, Upwey, at the base of the Dandenong Ranges. The property combines a you-cut flower field with rescue farm animals, a permaculture orchard, a kitchen garden and a stretch of Ferny Creek, and is run as a family operation about 40 minutes from Melbourne. Flower picking is only offered on designated days through summer and autumn, and the farm is closed to picking visitors outside that window.
A 1.5 hour picking session lets visitors choose a 9 litre bucket or a 1.7 litre glass vase and fill it from three acres of dahlias, chrysanthemums and trial blooms, with prices running from $30 for a vase up to $80 for the largest bucket option; private group sessions are also available at $50 a head. Garden tables in a courtyard and pergola are provided for arranging flowers on site. All picking is by online booking or private appointment, there is no casual walk-in access, and the same property offers an overnight farm stay cottage for guests wanting to stay longer.
