About Cherry Haven
Cherry Haven is a family owned u-pick cherry orchard at 470 Queens Road, Wandin East, at the end of a private lane in the Dandenong Ranges foothills overlooking the Yarra Valley. The orchard grows more than 30 different cherry varieties and welcomes walk in visitors with no booking required. The picking season runs from mid November to early January, with the farm open 9am to 5pm on weekends and 10am to 4pm on weekdays through that period.
Entry is $20 for adults and $10 for children aged 4 to 13, with children 3 and under free, and includes eating as much as you like while picking in the orchard. Cherries taken home are weighed on the way out at $15 per kilo, and visitors who buy more than 5kg each receive a free re-entry card for a return visit. As with other Yarra Valley cherry farms, picking depends on the weather and how the fruit is ripening, so checking ahead before the drive out is worthwhile.
