Around 14 strawberry varieties grown. Also grows tayberries (a raspberry-blackberry cross, recorded here under blackberries as the closest listed crop). Licensed cafe on site serves real fruit ice cream and wood-fired pizza; children can explore a hay maze, play outdoor table tennis, gumboot throwing and sack races, and visit farm animals.
About The Berry Patch
The Berry Patch, commonly known as Turners Beach Berry Patch, is a family run pick your own berry farm, shop and licensed cafe on Tasmania's North West Coast. It grows around 14 varieties of strawberries alongside raspberries, blackberries and tayberries.
Visitors can pick their own strawberries from October to May, with raspberries and blackberries also available to pick within that season. Pre-picked berries and homemade jams are sold in the farm shop for anyone who would rather not pick their own. The farm is open daily from 9am to 5pm, closed on public holidays.
The on site cafe specialises in real fruit ice cream and wood-fired pizza made with Tasmanian ingredients. Children's activities include a hay maze, outdoor table tennis, gumboot throwing, sack races and a chance to visit the farm animals, making it a popular family stop on the North West Coast.
