About Plump Berries
Plump Berries is a berry farm at Barrington in Tasmania's North West, established at the end of April 2022. It grows an unusually wide range of berries and soft fruit: raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, tayberries, loganberries, gooseberries, redcurrants and blackcurrants, alongside speciality sweet and sour cherry varieties. Everything is grown without herbicides, pesticides or fungicides.
Visitors can choose to pick their own berries in the field, join a guided berry tour, or simply buy pre-picked punnets, and there is also a 24 hour self-service stand for when the farm itself is unattended. Picking runs through the warmer months, roughly spring to autumn, but the farm has not published fixed opening dates or hours for each berry, so it is worth checking its Facebook page before making the trip.
On site there is also a small nano distillery producing rare fruit liqueurs, spirits and wines from the farm's own fruit, with tastings available.
