About Olivehouse at Greendale Grove
Olivehouse at Greendale Grove is a family run olive estate at Kialla West, south of Shepparton, established in 2001 by Rod and Ann Henry and now also run by their daughter Jacqui and her partner Rob. The 50 acre grove holds more than 3000 olive trees across 14 varieties, including Kalamata, Manzanillo, Verdale, Frantoio and Nevadillo. At harvest time, from March into May, the public can come and pick their own olives to take home, using their own methods to cure and marinate them afterwards, green table olives are ready first from March to April and black olives follow from late April to May. The Greendale Grove Olive Shop on site sells the estate's own extra virgin olive oil and table olives, along with olive based body products, homewares and other regional gourmet goods, and is open to the public with hours that vary daily. Olivehouse itself, the Mediterranean style function and event venue on the property, operates separately and is only open for private bookings such as weddings. Parking is available for long vehicles. Visitors are advised to call ahead before visiting, especially outside harvest season.
