About Little Tin Shed

Little Tin Shed is a family run flower and produce farm and roadside stall at Medowie, in the Hunter Valley, that has grown blooms and vegetables on the property for more than 30 years. Alongside its regular stall, the farm opens its sunflower field to the public for pick your own on selected dates across the season.

Entry is $5 a person, with children 12 and under free, and sunflowers cost $3 a stem or six for $15. Picking is cash only, as there is no EFTPOS on site. Visitors should bring their own secateurs or scissors and a bucket to carry flowers home in, and water is provided for thirsty stems. The property has a glass house, a swing, a peacock chair and old tractors set up for photos among the flowers.

Opening dates are not continuous through the season but announced ahead of each bloom on the farm's Facebook page and website, with one confirmed 2026 weekend running Saturday 11 to Sunday 12 April from 9am to 1pm. There is off street parking on site, and leashed dogs are welcome.
