About Harvest the Fleurieu
Harvest the Fleurieu is a family owned strawberry farm, market hall and cafe at 2256 Victor Harbor Road, Mount Compass, on the Fleurieu Peninsula, started by the Sherry family after they bought the land in 2012. The pick your own strawberry patch is the main drawcard, open daily from around October through to May each year, alongside a market hall selling produce from more than 80 South Australian suppliers and a cafe with house made pastries, bread, cakes and ice cream.
Entry to the picking patch is $5 for ages 12 and over, $3 for ages 5 to 11 and free under 4, with strawberries charged at $12.99 a kilo. The farm also grows blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, tayberries and vegetables such as tomatoes and potatoes, sold through the market hall rather than as separate pick your own crops. Pre-booking a picking session is encouraged during busy periods such as Christmas, public holidays and school holidays. The strawberry patch closes over winter and reopens each year in early October.
