About The Hidden Flower Farm
The Hidden Flower Farm, also known by owner Wade Kingsley's persona Mr Dahlia, grows around 700 dahlia cultivars on a quarter acre block at the Marananga School Precinct on Seppeltsfield Road in the Barossa Valley, near the Staguni restaurant and New Wave Wines cellar door. Kingsley trained in floristry, horticulture and conservation before starting the farm, and runs it as a working flower patch surrounded by native bush and gum trees.
Pick your own dahlia sessions and pop up farm stalls run through summer and autumn each year as ticketed events, alongside two hour workshops on dahlias and flower growing. Session dates are not fixed in advance and are announced on the farm's Instagram page, which is also the main way to contact Wade directly for bookings and current availability. The farm also supplies dahlias wholesale and to florists and brides. Because opening depends on bloom conditions and announced ticket releases rather than a standing timetable, checking Instagram before planning a visit is essential.
