About Sue & Tim's Fresh Farms
Sue & Tim's Fresh Farms is a pick your own strawberry farm at 157 Badgerup Road, Wanneroo, north of Perth, growing strawberries alongside other fresh produce. The self-pick season generally runs from late July through to early November, with the farm open on Saturdays from around 8am to 11am or until the fruit sells out for the day.
A picked box of around 3kg costs $15, and the farm is cash only, so bringing coins and notes rather than a card is essential. There is no cover from the sun over the picking rows, roadside parking is the norm, and the ground is uneven, so the farm is not well suited to prams. As with the other Wanneroo strawberry growers, how much fruit is available and how long the farm stays open on a given Saturday depends on the weather and how the plants are cropping that week, so checking the farm's Facebook page before setting out is worthwhile. The farm's Facebook page is its main channel for season and opening updates; it does not appear to run its own website.
