About Stockman's Ridge

Stockman's Ridge is a vineyard and cherry orchard at Lidster, in the Orange wine and cherry district of the NSW Central West. Alongside its wine tastings, the property opens its cherry orchard to pick your own visitors each year, from around mid to late November through December, subject to the season. Entry is five dollars a person (under threes free), which covers cherries eaten while picking, and cherries taken home are ten dollars a kilogram with boxes provided. Visitors can bring a picnic, use the gazebo barbecue space (hire required, bring your own food), and there are farm animals to see. Dogs are welcome. Cold drinks are available on site. Picking sessions are booked online in advance through the farm's website, and the farm posts when the season has finished each year rather than keeping a fixed closing date. Stockman's Ridge also offers farm stay accommodation in the Swagman Homestead and sells its own wine. Confirm the current season's opening dates and hours on the farm's website before travelling, as these are set fresh each year.
