About SSS Strawberries
SSS Strawberries is a large strawberry grower at 11 Rosedale Road, North Bundaberg, about 10 minutes from central Bundaberg. The farm is run by the Dang family, whose initials give the SSS name, and it grows strawberries commercially across the wider property alongside its retail Strawberry Shop and cafe, which serves Vietnamese coffee, strawberry soft serve and freeze dried strawberries.
The Pick Your Own patch is open each August, within Queensland's winter strawberry season. No booking is needed and there is no admission fee to enter the field, but everyone aged 6 and over must buy a punnet before picking: $8 for 500g or $15 for 1kg, with anything picked weighed and charged by weight at the checkout. Adults may accompany children under 5 at no charge. The farm asks pickers to wear a hat, bring flat shoes and sunscreen since the field has limited shade, and to keep 1.5 metres apart while picking.
The wider farm shop and cafe are open 7 days a week, 7am to 5pm, including public holidays. SSS Strawberries is about 1.5 hours from Hervey Bay and also offers on-site accommodation.
