About S & S Peruch Avocado Farm

S & S Peruch is a second generation family farm on the Central Coast Plateau at Somersby, with roughly 2,000 Hass avocado trees alongside long established Navel and Valencia orange trees, some over 45 years old. The farm also grows sunflowers. Unlike a typical roadside u pick, visitors cannot simply turn up and start picking. Picking here is part of a pre-booked guided tour across the 70 acre property, which takes in the orchard, the farm's dams and its small beef cattle herd, and finishes with a fruit picking session. Navel oranges are in season from June to September and Valencia oranges from October onward, while avocados peak from October through to January. A fruit stall at the property is open most days outside tour times, selling freshly picked avocados and other seasonal fruit for visitors who are not on a booked tour. The farm is at 1345 Wisemans Ferry Road, Somersby, and tours are arranged by appointment through the farm's phone number or Facebook page.
