Bring your own bucket and secateurs, or buy a bucket for $3 and secateurs for $12 on site. Closed in footwear required, children must be supervised. About Glenbernie Family Farms
Glenbernie Family Farms is a small "slow flower" farm at 610 Bells Line of Road, Kurmond, about an hour north west of Sydney. John and Marika Saliba started it in 2021 and grow sunflowers and other cut flowers for visitors to pick their own bunch. Picking runs through summer, roughly November to February or March, on weekends when the sunflowers are in bloom; the farm's own website currently describes itself as closed outside the season and asks visitors to follow its Facebook page for the exact opening weekend each spring.
Entry is $10 per adult and $5 per child aged 4 to 15, with children 3 and under free, and stems are then charged at $5 each. Visitors can bring their own bucket and secateurs or buy a bucket for $3 and secateurs for $12 on site; water is available for keeping cut flowers fresh. There is parking in front of the farm and at a nearby gravel area, and bathroom facilities on site. Closed in footwear is required and children must be supervised at all times.
