About Dandenong Christmas Tree Farm
Dandenong Christmas Tree Farm has been growing real Christmas trees for nearly 50 years, originally at Dandenong North before relocating to Officer, about 40 kilometres south east of Melbourne, after the original site made way for the EastLink motorway. It is run by Neil and Neal and grows Radiata pine trees that are pruned throughout the year.
Visitors walk among the pines to find a tree they like, and farm staff then price it according to size and cut it down for them. Prices run from about $50 for a 4 foot tree up to $250 or more for a tree of 10 feet and over, with a range of sizes in between. The farm's 2025 season ran from 26 November to 24 December, with hours of 2pm to 8pm on weekdays, 8am to 6pm on weekends and 9am to 4pm on Christmas Eve; visitors wanting to come outside those dates are asked to call ahead.
Dogs on a lead are welcome, and trees are kept in a barn to protect them from the weather before sale.
