About Charleston Cherries
Charleston Cherries is a pick your own cherry orchard at 308 Mount Torrens Road, Charleston, in the Adelaide Hills. It is a younger orchard of around 2,000 trees planted on rolling terrain and managed so that most fruit can be picked from ground level without a ladder. The orchard generally opens on weekends from late November through to early January, though this depends on the season, and no booking is required. Visitors are asked to bring their own picking container, or can buy an empty box on site for $2. There are no picnic or dining facilities at the orchard, but there is ample parking. Both cash and EFTPOS are accepted, and the farm describes its cherry pricing as competitive, though the current rate is not published online. Because opening days and cherry availability depend on the season and weather, call ahead before travelling out to Charleston to check the orchard is open.
