About Beltana Farm
Beltana Farm, formerly known as Pialligo Truffles, is a family run truffle farm and restaurant on nine acres at 14 Beltana Road, Pialligo, about ten minutes from central Canberra. During the district's short truffle season, roughly June to mid August, the farm runs guided truffle hunts across a trufferie of more than 800 trees, using trained truffle dogs and their handler to locate ripe black truffles under the soil, with guests joining in the search and sometimes finding one themselves. The main format is Hunt and Lunch, held on Saturdays and Sundays through the season: a guided hunt from mid morning followed by a shared, truffle focused long lunch in the on site restaurant. Other formats offered through the season have included a twilight hunt with a bonfire and truffle snacks, a hunt paired with a cooking masterclass, and a hunt with a truffle hamper to take home. Bookings are essential and places are limited, with popular dates selling out well ahead of the weekend, so booking early through the farm's website is recommended.
